The UIB Residence Hall is managed by the General Foundation of the Balearic Islands University (FuGUIB). The FuGUIB is a private non-profit institution with its own legal status. Created by the Board of Governors of the UIB (FOU 166), it was registered with the Registry of Associations of the Balearic Islands as a cultural foundation on 11 August 1999 (BOCAIB Number 107 24/08/99).
The Balearic Islands University (UIB) has entrusted the FuGUIB with the following tasks:
- The management of the campus sports facilities in coordination with the Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Financial Administrative Planning and the UIB Management as regards the equipment, facilities and economic conditions, and with the Sports Service for sports activities.
- The management of the campus Residence Hall building, in coordination with the Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Students and Institutional Relations regarding the conditions for residents.
Environmental commitment. In 2002, the UIB earned the ISO 14001:1996 (now ISO 14001:2004) environmental certificate, becoming the first university in Spain to earn this certificate for a residence hall.
Commitment to quality. In 2005, the university was granted the ISO 9001:2000, quality certificate, clearly manifesting its commitment to our users and to our community
